IT infrastructure designed to last, not just to check boxes

I design, assess, and deploy on-premise IT infrastructures for serious SMBs and enterprise projects — datacenter, networking, storage, redundancy, disaster recovery. 25+ years of field experience on Dell, HP, Cisco, VMware, Proxmox, in a stack that works at 3 AM, not just in Visio.

02 What I deliver

Complete infrastructure audit
Hardware/software inventory, network topology, redundancy analysis, configuration review, SPOF (Single Point of Failure) identification, scorecard across 12 dimensions.
Target architecture design
Visio/draw.io diagrams covering physical, logical, and security layers. Bill of Materials with alternatives (Dell/HP/Lenovo, Cisco/Aruba). VLAN, IP, DNS plan.
Phased implementation plan
Phases, dependencies, work windows, rollback plans, go/no-go criteria. Compatible with current production — nothing gets stopped without a plan.
Disaster Recovery & BC
RPO/RTO agreed with the business, backup strategy (Veeam, PBS), inter-site replication, tested runbooks — not just written ones.
Operational documentation
Runbooks for common incidents, onboarding/offboarding procedures, access matrices, up-to-date diagrams your team can actually understand.
12-36 month budget plan
Hardware refresh prioritized by risk, licensing plan, hybrid cloud estimates. Clear arguments for the CFO, not technical jargon.

03 The process

PHASE 01
Kick-off & Scoping
Stakeholder discussion, clarifying objectives, access to existing documentation, NDA if applicable.
PHASE 02
Discovery
Active network scan, config review, ops team interviews, complete inventory of the stack.
PHASE 03
Analysis & Gap
Scorecard across 12 dimensions (performance, security, cost, redundancy, documentation, etc.), prioritizing issues.
PHASE 04
Target design
To-be architecture in 2-3 variants (conservative/balanced/ambitious), with explicit trade-offs.
PHASE 05
Roadmap & Budget
12-36 month plan, dependencies, cost estimates, executive + detailed technical report delivery.
PHASE 06
Implementation (optional)
End-to-end execution or co-pilot with your team, with progressive handover and continuous documentation.

04 Use cases

Factory with 300+ employees, 2 locations
Network & VLAN audit, MPLS redesign with redundancy, new secondary datacenter design, DR plan with RPO 15 min.
Retailer with 15 stores
HQ infrastructure consolidation, SD-WAN for branches, centralized Active Directory, central-level backup.
IT integrator winning a public tender
Sub-contract for design & on-site implementation of infrastructure on a government project, with ITIL/NIS2 audit.
Fast-scaling startup
Migration from individual dedicated servers to a virtualized Proxmox/VMware cluster, with SAN/NAS storage and backup.

How I work
I prefer projects with clear scope and measurable deliverables. I don't sell hours — I sell outcomes. If you already have a formal RFP/SoW, I'll respect it. If not, we'll build one together in the first week to avoid scope creep.

06 Frequently asked questions

Do you work with specific hardware or anything?
Most commonly: Dell (PowerEdge, PowerStore, Compellent, Unity, Networking), HPE (ProLiant, MSA, Aruba), Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki), Lenovo. Storage — NetApp, Pure Storage. Virtualization — VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V. If you have something else, I can probably still help.
Can you work with my in-house IT team?
Yes, and it's actually my preferred approach. I work shoulder to shoulder with the existing team — I don't replace it. Continuous knowledge transfer, documentation your team can use without me after the project.
Do you take vendor commissions?
No. I'm an independent consultant, not a reseller. My recommendations are vendor-agnostic. If you want to work with a specific integrator on execution, I can stay only on design & supervision.
What happens after you deliver the audit?
You can implement in-house, with your integrator, or call me back for phase 2. The report stays yours — no vendor lock-in on me. The goal is for you to be smarter afterwards, not more dependent.

Let's see together what you have, what hurts, and what you could build better

30 minutes, no obligation, no slides. You tell me what infrastructure you have, what worries you, and I'll tell you whether I can help and how.
